My life as a stringer in Brazil – between travel, culture and film in the land of joie de vivre.
Many people ask me: What exactly is a stringer?
A stringer is someone who works freelance for television stations, production companies, or magazines. They're not employees, but someone who opens doors on-site, organizes contacts, and brings authentic stories to life. This is precisely my passion here in Brazil—and I'm happy to share my experiences with you.
With the hotel - Pousada Rancho Fundo all the way to the film business ....

I've lived in Salvador da Bahia for over 17 years, where I run my hotel, Pousada Rancho Fundo, in the Vila de Abrantes district of Salvador da Bahia. There, I welcome guests from all over the world—and at the same time, I work as an officially licensed tour guide throughout Brazil.
Whether it's historical city tours in Salvador, secluded beaches on the coconut palm coast, or hidden waterfalls in the Chapada Diamantina – I love showing people special places that even locals often don't know about.

At the same time, I'm involved in film and TV productions. I've already worked for ProSiebenTaff and the series "Verrückt nach Meer" (Crazy about the Sea). And an internship at HBO in Los Angeles gave me exciting insights into the international film world.

Between cameras and culture
My work takes me to very different locations:
• to Porto Seguro, where I was able to film with indigenous peoples,
• to Campo Bahia, the famous World Cup base of the German national team,
• or to Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, where I lead teams to places that you won’t find in any travel guide.

In addition, I have a good network of modeling agencies in Bahia, which also enriches productions in the areas of fashion and advertising.
A country full of stories
Brazil is a country of contrasts, full of stories just waiting to be told. The diversity of its flora and fauna never ceases to fascinate me: colorful macaws in the rainforest, sea turtles on the coast, mysterious stalactite caves in the interior.
Many of these impressions later find their way into travel documentaries, reports and series – formats that show how colorful, vibrant and surprising Brazil is.
Authentic on the road, pictures often say more than words:

For me, my work isn't just about organization and logistics. It's important to me that productions and guests experience Brazil the way I knew it: authentic, diverse, and full of encounters. I see myself as a bridge builder – between film crews and locals, between the big film world and everyday Brazilian life.
