The historic center (Pelourinho): We stroll through the colorful colonial streets (UNESCO World Heritage Site), see the world-famous filming location of Michael Jackson and feel the drum rhythms of the band Olodum.
Igreja de São Francisco: We visit the impressive "Golden Church", whose interior is decorated with hundreds of kilos of gold leaf.
Elevador Lacerda: We ride the historic Art Deco elevator that connects the upper town (Cidade Alta) with the lower town (Cidade Baixa) and enjoy the postcard view over the Bay of All Saints.
Culinary Highlight – Authentic Moqueca Lunch: For lunch, I'll take you to an authentic restaurant. Here we'll try Moqueca, the legendary Bahian fish stew with coconut milk and palm oil (Dendê) – an absolute must for gourmets!
Mercado Modelo: At the traditional market, we stroll past Bahian handicrafts, spices, and souvenirs.
Igreja do Bonfim: We visit the holiest church in the city and tie the famous colorful wish ribbons (Fitas do Bonfim) to the church gate for your personal luck.
Farol da Barra:
Finally, we will make a stop at the legendary Barra lighthouse, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the bay.
